Ride the Cross Country Course on Albuquerque’s West Mesa
The City of Albuquerque leases land at La Boca Negra Horsemen’s Complex on Albuquerque’s west mesa to Watermelon Mountain Pony Club. Here we maintain a Cross Country Course for the benefit of local eventers and other riders. We own the jumps and allow people who purchase permits to use the course at their own risk. Boca Negra is the only cross country course in the southwest that is open for riding 50 weeks of the year. 100% of the fees you send in are spent on the maintenance of the cross country course and jumps at Boca Negra.
Please help support this unusual facility so that you and others can continue to enjoy schooling cross country jumps in the future. Download the 2018 Application for Boca Negra Cross Country Course Riding Permit and send it, with the appropriate fees, to the address shown on the application. More information about the Boca Negra Complex, including directions to the Complex, are found on the City of Albuquerque’s website.
