Haley White is a graduate member of the Watermelon Mountain Pony Club and currently holds her C2/HB. Haley started riding with WMPC in 2005 with her favorite pony Snickers. She competed around the nation during high school, competing in USPC nationals 3 separate times, twice for Eventing and once for Quiz. After graduating from high school, Haley attended Bowdoin College, in Brunswick ME, where she graduated in May of 2017 with a bachelor’s in Sociology. Her passions at school include public health and social justice. She was Co-president of Relay for Life, Training Coordinator for Safe Space, an organization dedicated to supporting those who have been affected by sexual assault, and Co-founder and Co-president of Think Wild, a mentoring group for middle schoolers with a focus on outdoor education. She continued her passion for horses by riding for the Bowdoin College Equestrian Team. Over the past few summers, Haley has worked for Overland Summers, an outdoor trip company specializing backpacking and bike touring trips around the world. During the summer of 2017, she led a backpacking trip based around Mont Blanc in the European Alps. Haley is heading to South America next, to continue following her passions for public health and traveling. While not currently riding, she knows that horses are a part of her life that she will continue as long as she can, and hopes to connect with Pony Club wherever she ends up next.
